Axel Wahl is a Stockholm-based designer and artist working with print, material and physical processes.

His practice is centered around experimental printmaking and process-driven work, where material exploration and hands-on making shape both outcome and direction.

Working through print as both a method and a medium, his work moves between independent projects, spatial applications and selected collaborations with brands and institutions.

Wawa X Evelina Kroon

In June 2022 I collaborated with artist Evelina Kroon

The collaboration consisted of a promotional poster, a physcial invite, an animation, handmade wool cushions, riso-printed coasters and an exhibition.

Exhibition

The collaboration was displayed in an exhibition at Studio Tina Hellberg in Stockholm.

The walls were covered in sheets of riso-printed A3 papers with closeup photos of the cushions from the collaboration. The wall pattern was created together with Evelina Kroon.

The wool cushions were displayed on Artek stools

Using the same patterns from the wool cushions, we created a pack of riso-printed coasters.
